Wow. Lillie is now 6 months old and this weekend she tried eating solid foods for the very first time. Having never touched a spoon, it was all very new to her and she was very confused at first. After a few tries, she was loving every minute of her rice cereal. She ate it all up with no problems and no mess, which I hear is unusual for a baby's first time trying solid foods. It sure made our job a lot easier than we had expected.
That's what we'd like to say, but this was how it really went...
Yesterday, Lillie met two more of her cousins, Gregor and Elissa. Gregor just graduated with his masters from WPI (woo hoo!) and Elissa is in town to help celebrate and attend the HOW Design Conference. It was so great to see them and catch up!
What a great first Mother's Day I've had. My little girl and my best man delivered me a wonderful breakfast in bed after letting me sleep in. Ahh, sleep is so good. Here are a few pictures we took of Lillie today. I can't believe she's approaching her 6 month birthday. It reminds me that we have to stop and savor each moment as often as we can.
Happy Mother's Day to our moms. Thanks for being there for us and helping us become the people we are.
The weather is finally shaping up in Boston, which makes our daily walks to daycare so enjoyable. Lillie likes to look at the world around her as we make our way through the city. I can't wait to get out her summer dresses and see more of those chubby legs and arms!
