Wow. Lillie is now 6 months old and this weekend she tried eating solid foods for the very first time. Having never touched a spoon, it was all very new to her and she was very confused at first. After a few tries, she was loving every minute of her rice cereal. She ate it all up with no problems and no mess, which I hear is unusual for a baby's first time trying solid foods. It sure made our job a lot easier than we had expected. That's what we'd like to say, but this was how it really went...
Up next: bananas.
Yesterday, Lillie met two more of her cousins, Gregor and Elissa. Gregor just graduated with his masters from WPI (woo hoo!) and Elissa is in town to help celebrate and attend the HOW Design Conference. It was so great to see them and catch up!
Lillie, at 6 months you:
love to smile
light up when you see or hear your dad
must have anything within arms reach
roll over onto your tummy
sit up all by yourself
are ticklish near your ribs and on your neck
are best friends with stella and caroline at daycare
love to splash with your feet during bath time
like to eat mom's nose
are happy when snuggled in dad's baby bjorn
want to know and see everything about the world around you
have traveled to new york city, ohio, alaska, and chicago
like to eat your feet
have learned how to shut your mouth so tight that no medicine can come in (smarty pants)
love the daily stroll to and from daycare with mom
are afraid of elevators
love to fall asleep in mom's arms
are unconditionally loved
Happy 6 month birthday (yesterday).
The weather is finally shaping up in Boston, which makes our daily walks to daycare so enjoyable. Lillie likes to look at the world around her as we make our way through the city. I can't wait to get out her summer dresses and see more of those chubby legs and arms!
